The
mills of the Tine are about 1400 years old
and
the site has been classified
by
the Canton of Valais and the Swiss Confederation
as
a " historical monument "
You
are now on the old road that used to link Monthey to Champéry
The
current bridge was built around 1750
This
was the industrial zone of the whole valley of Illiez
People
in the past benefited from the hydraulic force of water
They
had a sawmill - a forge and a mills with housing conditions
and
several presses
The
clearance in the rock on the right of the path was a stable for the horses
suite
